Thinking about wedding bands

We eventually need to pick out some wedding bands. We could just go down to the jewelry chain stores and choose something generic, but I'm really loving these options from etsy.

  1. Yea. I used to think that I wouldn't. Then I decided it would depend on who I would marry. And it matters a lot to Anthony.

I will miss that I won't be 'A' and first for everything, but Bayerl is pretty close to the front of the line.

It is somewhat romantic to become one family. My housewife side is always competing with my feminist side.

It would seem less like we were married if I didn't and I've decided that I will.

    Are you trying to decide?

  2. Cute rings.... my husband has a pipe cut band and he LOVES it. His is 7mm and he said he would have gotten it wider if he had known he was going to like it so much.

  3. I'm trying to decide and keep wavering - Cliff doesn't care what I do, he just wants our kids to be Blodgetts.
I feel uncomfortable giving up my own last name, which is weird because growing up I always thought I would just take my husband's name. My family thinks I should take his name - but I don't want my kids to have to call me Ms. Blodgett - that's just weird to me.
One of my friends was telling me that I can add his name to mine legally without giving up my own last name, so that I could sign either Julie Gronquist or Julie Blodgett and it would still be legal. Do you know anything about this?

  5. I hadn't heard about using either one, but I guess that makes sense. There is a woman here at work that uses her maiden name professionally and then for things like facebook, she uses her husband's name. For a little while I thought about adding his name on to mine. No hyphens just a space and I think that sounds like a good option for you.

Speaking of which, isn't changing your name the biggest pain? Passports, IDs, car titles, social security, credit cards, insurance, what a headache.

  6. I like these too! You know, we still don't have rings...I hadn't thought about that fact forever!
